Blat Cat (Tom Heimerman) - Trumpet

Tom, trumpet, grew up in Stillwater, and was part of their high school's fabulous band program in the early 1970s.   He continued to play trumpet at St. Thomas College, then parked the horn in the closet for 25 years while he played hockey and softball and racquetball and other non-musical things. He rediscovered the trumpet and dusted it off in 1995, and now plays Trumpet II and/or sings in several bands, including the Johnny Owen Band, the White Bear Big Band, and the South Side Big Band.  He also plays piano.  Tom and his French horn-playing wife Judy live in Shoreview, where they raised four kid to become, more or less, adult-like.  During the day, Tom saws wood and pounds nails with his son Joe, with his Krauseheim Construction company.
