Caramel Kat (Charles)

Charles Kemper, DMA,
made his debut with the Houston Symphony at age seventeen and has been heard
in concerto performances with the Yale Philharmonia, New Haven Philharmonic,
and the Jacksonville Symphony, among others. His degrees in piano
performance are from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the
University of Houston, and Yale University, where he studied with Claude
Frank, Boris Berman, Peter Frankl, Abbey Simon, Ruth Tomfohrde, and Eugene
Pridonoff.
His travels as soloist and accompanist have taken him to Germany, the Czech
Republic, Paris, London, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, and Denmark.
Kemper is presently organist at Calvary Baptist Church and pianist for
VocalEssence, formerly known as the Plymouth Music Series, Philip Brunelle,
music director. Kemper has served on the faculties of
Northwestern College, Bethel University and St. Olaf College.

Carvel has been drumming for about 12 years. He graduated in
Music Education from the U of M and is currently Director of Bands at Rush
City High School.

Cat (Bjorn Larson) - Trumpet
Bjorn, trumpet, is 22 years old.
He has been playing the trumpet since he was in sixth grade. He played
trumpet in the Bethel University Wind Symphony as well as the Bethel
University Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed locally with a jazz
quartet. He loves listening to jazz and learning the classic styles of
the greats. Bjorn is married to his wonderful wife Emily who is a nurse at Children's
Hospital. Along with playing trumpet Bjorn enjoys fishing, going up to the
cabin, and playing golf whenever there is time. He has just started a job
doing mutual fund accounting at The Hartford. He currently resides in St.
Paul with his beautiful wife!

Brass Cat (Dan) - Trumpet
Dan
plays regularly in Roseville Big Band, Red Rock Swing Band, New Life jazz
band, New Life orchestra, New Life Brass, Roseville Lutheran Jazzers and
Woodbury Brass. He has subbed with several area big bands and have
played in several churches, including playing part time with So. Washington
Community Band, subbing with the Sheldon Theatre Brass Band, and playing
weddings and funerals on call. Dan has also played in several community and
high school theatre musicals.
